Insight into a sector with a bright future and a donation of 850 cycles as part of the Munich jubilee celebrations
Leading industrial services provider highlighting its status as an attractive employer
Industrial services have evolved into an economic sector with a profile of its own. Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services AG (BIS AG) has made a decisive contribution to this and sets the standards in its sector in terms of range, internationalisation, profitable growth and profitability. As a premium partner to the celebrations marking Munich’s 850th birthday, it is documenting the close links which it has built up with this city over a period of 25 years and highlighting its status as an attractive employer.
“Industrial services have remained personnel-intensive,” explains BIS AG’s CEO, Thomas Töpfer: “They are increasingly entailing management tasks and engineering services. At the same time, however, they are still dependent on the skills of experienced staff. In addition, we offer school leavers and university graduates exciting career perspectives.” BIS AG is making three contributions to the jubilee celebrations. It is a partner to the “850 talents for Munich” job initiative. It will be showcasing aspects of modern industrial services business in a readily understandable manner on a stand measuring 150 square meters as part of the “Business Mile” exhibition during the Altstadtringfest celebrations on 19 - 20 July. And with its “850 bicycles for Munich” initiative, it is generating strong public attention.
“As a company with a technical slant, we are donating high-quality, solid bicycles on the occasion of Munich’s 850th birthday. This is appropriate given the high quality which the Munich metropolitan region offers cyclists and also seeks to draw attention to our company as an attractive employer. The cycles have a market value of around EUR 600 each. 200 bicycles are being donated to the City Social Foundation for homeless people, while the others will be raffled in conjunction with media partners in Munich.
