Further extensions to strong market position - Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services AG awarded new main contract

Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services AG (BIS AG) has further extended its already strong market position after being awarded another main contract in Northern Germany. BIS Industrieservice Nord GmbH, a subsidiary of BIS AG, has received a maintenance contract from Total Bitumen GmbH in Brunsbüttel as a co-bidder.

Munich/Brunsbüttel, 14 February 2008.  A project company (BAR Industrieservice GmbH based in Brunsbüttel) has been established under the lead management of BIS Industrieservice Nord GmbH for the future execution of all industrial maintenance services. The other shareholders in this company are Rotan GmbH and Ahlf Elektrotechnik GmbH. “We were able to prevail in the tender process despite the intense competition and prove our competence,” says Andre Flato, managing director of BIS Industrieservice Nord GmbH. He sees one of the decisive factors leading to the award of the contract as being the unified bidding group, which submitted a carefully planned and very effective maintenance proposal.

The services which BIS Industrieservice Nord GmbH will be providing for Total Bitumen in the future primarily entail general coordination and management, rotating equipment, insulation as well as administration and procurement. In addition, affiliate BIS arnholdt GmbH will be performing industrial scaffolding activities. “This contract shows once more that with its broad range of industrial services BIS AG is an ideal partner for complex tasks and end-to-end services,” adds Andre Flato.
